Where: Checkpoint Charlie, Berlin Germany. When: June 22, 1990, 3am. What the Hell: 2 saws, a rented truck and a strong desire to own the most famous sign in history. We had to dodge East and West German border guards to abscond with this beauty. It now sits in my private collection at a secure, undisclosed location awaiting donation to the Smithsonian.
